Hello everyone, I am getting married this Friday (November 23rd, 2007) in Dalian. I read on a gov't website that Foreigners getting married are entitled to 15 paid vacation days, just like a Chinese citizen does. My school (GUCAS - run by the gov't) won't give them to me. I have shown them the site, but they are telling me it's only for Chinese citizens. Who is right?
P.S. Here is the website where I found the info (It's in Chinese, and the form is third from the top in the list - 国家外国专家局、财政部《外国文教专家工资和生活待遇管理办法》):

In theory if the site says foreigners are entitled to the 15 days paid holiday then we are entitled to them. In practice the schools will decide, and unfortunately for you I don't think you are going to get them. If you insist you might get the 15 days but probably not paid. |
