I did a quick search on the internet for this university. I am not sure of the exact location of this university, however i did see that it is actually in Zapopan. Zapopan is a suburb of Guadalajara but really is better considered as just an extension of the the city. From the main central district of Guadalajara you would probably be looking at roughly a 30 min. bus ride to get to zapopan and the area where this university is located. I lived in Guadalajara for about 1 year a couple of years ago doing a study abroad with the Universidad de Guadalajara and plan on returning there in june to take a tefl course and find a job teaching english. Although I do not know of this university personally i would highly recommend the Guadalajara/Zapopan area as a great place to live/study/work in mexico. |

Update: I'm bumping this up in case anyone has any more info and to say that I took in my application today. The woman working at the interenational exchange office said she'd received "a few" applications (for six or seven different countries). As Monday is the deadline, students aren't on campus on Fridays, and only half of us are there on Mondays I'm feeling good about my chances! |

Thanks! I know that sounds like a moronic question, but I am literally NOT ALLOWED to contact UNIVA directly and ask them any questions, and the term abroad office is hopeless. |

How bizarre! My curiosity is piqued. Is this by the orders of the term abroad office? What is the rationale for such a policy? If you did contact UNIVA, who would "tell" on you? Or is the UNIVA that doesn't allow you to contact them? |
