Hi All,

Has anyone on the forum have experience or heard of such experioences with the following?

http://www.oxfordseminars.com/

This looks like my only opportunity, besides going overseas to get a certification. This is preferrable, but then again, I wouldn't want a Cert. which only a few would accept.

It "appears" to have live instruction and step-by-step scheduled training with live instructors, which of course is not offered on any online courses.

So if you have ay insight on this...Let it be known!

Thanks

There's been considerable previous discussion regarding Oxford and other training courses that don't include actual practice teaching on real students (not peer trainees). Depending on where you want to go to teach, the hands-on, supervised teaching praactice is the key element of an acceptable basic course.

Do a search for 'Oxford.'

In-country certs that are the standard: 100+ hours on site, including the teaching practice, are generally accepted everywhere, including the 'generic' ones.

Wow... It looks kinda like I have to jump in with both feet for anything legitimately acceptable. All fingers are pointing to convincing my supervisors for a 1-month personal leave! Rolling Eyes

This is something I truly want to do, but man o man, the logistics are quite a challange for us at the very moment.

Thanks for your insight, Spiral!
