Hi all,
Im currently teaching in Seoul and am looking for a change of scenery. Ive enjoyed my time her in Seoul but my major complaint was the pollution and air quality. Is there anyone whose worked in both places who could tell me how Hong Kong and Seoul compare on this. If it is just as bad then is it like that across the whole of Hong Kong? is it easy to get away from the polluted parts to beaches, mountains etc?
any info would be great

Hong Kong is a very small place. Therefore, if there is pollution in one area then it will be every where. The only difference is the type of pollution. In the main built-up areas e.g. Central, Causeway Bay, Mong Kok the very high levels are caused by suspended particles produced by vehicles. In rural areas it is mainly blown in from factories across the border. |
