Ole! I would love to pm you about your experience, but I don't have enough posts! I've been in contact w/ them about attending their training on the 2nd and 3rd of January, but am unsure about it.
Any info you could share with me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

I filled in for three weeks while I accompanied a group of high school students for six weeks in San Jose.
I liked working for them. Their demeanor was professional. The school is sort of Spartan, not luxurious, but clean, orderly, and nice. They used the Side by Side books, which at least gives you a lesson plan to follow. You can add through the web as your experience dictates.
They were working at growth. Many of their teachers have taught with them long term. Dona Rose? was the owner, and I interiewed with Mario who was from Houston.
I may contact them to teach this year, after I finish a short term assignment here in Indianapolis at an urban charter school. |

Flor Rojas owns and manages the school, and Salwa (whose last name I can never remember) is the current coordinator. Classes finish in mid-December and start again in mid-January. My experience working there is overall good, even if the pay is not so great. It's very nice teaching in actual classrooms and not have to run around San Jose every day using thousands of colones on transport and food outside your home. |
