The university has got better but I'm happy I left in time. Sulimani is much better but very costly to live. Students at the university of kurdistan say there are to mayn students and not enough teachers. And word has that the head of the English Department is reading private emails, including the teachers'!! There is a new university here but you have to pay. so we can't afford to study further. It isn't finished until next year. it looks very nice. you Engihs teachers can try to find a job here. |

So Hawler university is having to resort to 007 tactics to keep its staff in check. I wonder if agent DOSer gets a car and Miss Moneypenny thrown in with the job. Lets hope the university gives him a one-way plane ticket for Christmas. |

Kurd, stop bitching about UKH. The idea that the DOS is reading our e-mails is ridiculous.
Suli is nice. The new Uni looks like it will be amazing when its finished - the underground university shopping mall looks like overkill though. Suli is the intellectual and liberal cultural capital of the region so will possibly overtake UKH in the future (although UKH is free and AUI costs $10000 for tuition). See link below.

The high profile Dean has just been charged with sexually assaulting a male colleague while he was Dean at a US university. As a result things are a little bit disorganized while they find a new person to lead the university. I would consider a job in Suli in a year or two when they move into the new campus and have got over their teething problems. There is a lot of shit to sort out in the first year and a lot of politics, when I arrived at UKH about 10 months ago it was a little bit turbulent - some people on this messageboard who left are still bitter about that. Now everything is fine at UKH - even a little bit boring, I found the drama quite entertaining. |

I suggest you check with the KRG. Remember I am Kurdish teacher. The KRG is my source of this. They were given evidence of this months ago. |

Two teachers have told me that the Commissar of Studies has access to their private e mails. One person has reported this invasion of privacy to the local police.
