I can't speak for any other cities, but here in Hanoi, yes. There's a place called Citimart with a lot of imported stuff, and there's also a place called Western Canned Foods. I would guess that in HCMC there's a lot more. |

Hi, the foreign food places I've found are all in District 1 near the expat ghetto (Le Thanh Ton area). I love Veggy's on Thai Van Lung street, it's stocked full of almost anything I miss from the US like Dr. Pepper, Philly Cream Cheese, etc. Nearby on Hai Ba Trung street is Annam gourmet grocery store which also has a very large selection of foreign food and tons of imported cooking supplies like olive oil, spices, pastes. Kind of expensive, but worth it once in awhile when you're craving home-food. Good luck! |

There are three great shops on Hom Nghi. If you are near Binh Thanh Market at the roundabout just go down the street near the bus station. You will see three stores right next to each other. One has a neon red rooster on the front.
They are cheaper than the An Nam stores and I've found; Horse Radish, Miracle Whip, Shake-n-Bake and all sorts of stuff that I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
Just because you find something once at these stores doesn't mean you will find them again, but I think you will be pleased. |
