HI,
I am moving to Hong Kong in 2 months with my wife, who was transfered there for her job. I am keen to do some ESL teaching in Hong Kong (or nearby China?) This is my situation: I have an english degree but no teaching experience at all. I am not under pressure to get a job quickly or to get a very high paying teaching job. Part time teaching is fine.
Any advice on how things work and the best way to approach it would be appreciated. These are some questions I have.
what are my options- what is the best approach? does pre-certification help?- can i do any courses there or should i do an oxford type thing here?- are any particular certifications more effective there? what is the deal with different ages, and private lessons.
Thanks a lot.
