I'm not familiar w/ this area...though I do worry that anytime housing in dubai doesn't seem expensive. What sort of price range are they offering?

I lived in that area for five years when working for Dubai Women's. It's not bad, although much more built up and congested now. Only five minutes from the airport in light traffic, and close enough to other major areas.

Dubai Women's is about seven minutes in light traffic; up to 22 minutes or so in rush hour. Parks? Pathetic playgrounds not too far away, on the other side of Abu Hail street. I don't know about good primary schools in that area. Is it like living in a downtown area? Close...congested streets around there with many small shops. Not far from a Carrefour behind the area (not towards central city)...it can be a nightmare trying to drive and park there during peak periods. The UAE will never learn to provide adequate parking for shopping except perhaps at certain monstrous shopping malls, and under your apartment buildings (Dubai only).
