| Have a friend help you to take it down, then have a sayonara sale so someone else will take it away. |

I had the same situation recently. I had 2 aircons that I wanted to sell, but the cost of removal/transport/reinstallation was 55,000yen, so I ended up giving them away with the 'buyer' just paying the cost of removal etc. I think I was lucky to find someone willing to do that.
That was done by an electrician who was a friend of a friend of a friend (no kidding). If you can speak Japanese or have a friend who can, then you can call any electrician, I believe, to get a quote. But each quote will depend on where the buyer lives, what floor, what their favourite colour is etc. So it's a bit time consuming.
The other option is to call a recycle shop. If the aircons are only a few years old they might pay you something for them. In my case it was going to cost me 7000yen per unit just to take them away. |
