Thanks for your varied replies regarding Hawthorn/Majali.
One more post!
I am seriously considering taking a position at Sur HCT with Majali.
The place looks beautiful, I am quite sure I could handle the lifestyle, etc.,but...
Does anyone know why the other teachers are leaving?
I would appreciate specific info on the atmosphere teaching there, student/teacher/admin attitudes towards native speakers, support and appropriate materials provided...chaotic or professional...
Majali claims he will be able to provide an appropriate place to live, arriving in early January. (First a hotel until he finds new apartments.)He will also help you get set up with the net and sat tv at home, etc.
He does seem a bit shady, but efficient.

Please see the previous threads on Majali and you will find what you need to know about him. I am not the only person in Oman with this opinion but if I had to do it again ******** No Way  |

LOL. Why? Are you a woman to whom this recruiter made 'improper overtures'? Or are you a gallant guy protective of 'the weaker sex'? Either way, your best wishes are undoubtedly welcome. |
