|
|
I just left my job after myself and my employer could not agree on how to resolve different concerns. I offered to give them the month's noting as per stipulated in the contract, and immediate buyout for work completed this month, and or the option of me leaving at the end of May with an immediate payout. They too none of them, so I quit immediately. What are my rights here? I completed 22 of 31 days in May, everything suggests they think they don't have to pay me for this time does anyone know what the labor law is regarding something like this? What organization or people I can contact to make sure they pay me for services rendered?
Thanks in advance:-) |

File a complaint with the Labour Board in the city where you worked. Since you had a contract, they should assist you in getting them to pay you! Good luck |

I used their greed against them, I just stood outside their door handing out business cards to everyone who came to my former school's door.
After three days the they came to me and paid my the owed monies. |

it is definitely possible for foreigners to win labor disputes. you just have to know as much as possible. as mentioned earlier inthe thread, start with the union sites and click on all of their links listed. who is your boss by the way? if possible it may be wise to contact the union branch of your particular company. ie, if you work for interac, contact the interac union through tokyo or the general union

good luck |

My employer tried to pull this on me too. I went and got some free English legal help. I brought all the written communication we had had and a copy of my contract. They laughed at my boss' threats, gave me an English book on worker's rights (I was told later this is available at ward offices, too), and some helpful adivce. I wrote a threatening letter spelling out legal offenses and my boss shut up very quickly. I got my pay no problem.
While it may be common for employers to try to with hold your pay, legally they are obligated to pay you for work done. |
