I fly from the UK to Bogota in a couple of weeks to look for teaching work and wondered (even though I've probably left it a little late now) if I should have my certificates notarised before I leave. I don't know what this entails and I'm not even sure that I've spelt it right.

Notarisation, I believe, is done by the place where you got your cert from.

Mexico, for example, requires Apostillisation, which is done by the Sec of State but that's for Americans, I-m not sure what Britons have to do.

However, I also recommend you to email Dave and try to get a Colombia forum.
