Hello all,
I'm seriously considering switching to an ESL career in Europe, and I've determined, through reading posts on this forum and elsewhere, that the CELTA is the best, or at least one of the best, credentials to have. What I'm wondering, though, is how to go about determining if a school is legitimate and worth the money they charge? I'm very fearful of expending a huge sum of money only to find out later on that it was almost a complete waste or that I could have done better elsewhere. It's not as if I can keep going to one school after another until I find the best one. Therefore, I'm trying to narrow down all the options that exist to a small set of desirable schools from which to choose.
So far I've come up with these schools:
The Berlin School of English (Teacher Training Center):

Arena Lingua (This school doesn't offer any CELTA training that I know of, but they do offer training of their own, as I understand.)
www.arenalingua.de
CELTA in Berlin

Trinity Certificate TESOL course
http://www.teflprague.com/
Can anyone provide any feedback on these schools as far as their reputation is concerned, or better yet, does anyone have any personal experience with any of these schools? Are there any places I haven't listed that are excellent with good, solid reputations?
Any help would be great.
Thanks! |
