Dear all,

A UK PhD student I know is doing research into teachers in Taiwan and their opinions of the EFL market. She is gathering information using an online questionnaire, and she would like to get as many responses as possible. If you are willing to fill in the questionnaire, please follow this link:

Her introduction:

Dear participant:
We would like to ask you to help us by answering the following questions concerning your experiences during your stay as an English teacher in Taiwan. This survey is being conducted by the Language Research Group in the Department of Language and Communication of the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Our research aims to achieve a better understanding of foreign teachers' cross-cultural adaptation in Taiwan in order to improve expatriate teachers' quality of life and teaching performance. This questionnaire is entirely anonymous and there are no right or wrong answers. All the data will be used only for this research in the field of expatriate teachers' cross-cultural adaptation.
We are interested in your opinions and your answers are very important to us. We rely on your answers to make this investigation a success. Filling in the questionnaire will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Thank you very much for taking the time to complete the questionnaire. If you have any queries, please contact

Disclaimer: I (Andrew) am a Manager at Hess Educational Organization. I met Ms. Liao after she contacted us in mid-2007 about doing the survey. At her request, some Hess teachers have taken part. Ms. Liao has offered Hess a copy of her dissertation when she completes it. Hess has no other connection with Ms. Liao or her research.

Just FYI, I got a note from Wei today:

Quote:
My computer actually got virus so the online survey is not working at the moment. Really sorry for that. I will try to fix it as soon as possible and let you know when it is ready. Really sorry for the inconvenience again.

The virus will not affect anyone who has accessed the survey, but the survey might be down when you visit the page. If so, Wei should have it fixed soon.
