Can anyone explain how the cert faculty functions in comparison to the foundation group? Is the cert the wing of HCT that earns money through IELTS, training stuff, and commercial enterprise? Does anyone on the board work as cert faculty?

These days most of the CERT instructors are teaching for the military. They are working in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, RAK, Al Ain and Fujerah. They took over the notorious MLI. Some people prefer the CERT 'gig' as you are out of the loop a bit, but personally I would prefer teaching in the regular HCT program...more organized with better holidays. |

If you teach in Foundation you will be teaching the students from that college - i.e. the local men and women. If you teach for CERT you will be teaching whoever pays for it - i.e. the military or police as nowasta mentioned. |
