|
|
Hello all! I plan on taking an extended trip to Asia staring in February. I plan to vagabond around till summer time or late summer at which time I would like to teach English in China. I am an attorney with a JD and have a BA in English. Quesions:
should I get some sort of certification or is my education sufficient? If so, which one is the cheapest or the quickest?
Also, should I secure a job now? or will I be able to get one when I'm there? If so, what organization should I apply to?
Finally, which is the best place to teach in China?
Thanks in advance for all your much needed help!!! |

You are already eminently qualified for the kind of job that awaits itinerant backpackers in the Middle Kingdom. No teaching qualifications or experience necesary. It would help a lot if you are caucasian.
You will be doing a great service to China by allowing school/university leaders to fulfill their quota of white faces at minimum cost. |

"I am an attorney with a JD"
I am an attorney with an attorney as a girlfriend perhaps?
Juris Doctor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia"Attorney," "attorney-at-law," "Esquire" ("Esq."), "lawyer," and "J.D." are all generally acceptable titles that an attorney may use. ...

Possibly. Sometimes when I'm bored I google the forum nickname of people trolling and it's surprising what turns up now and then.
Best to use a nickname that's not your email address and not one you use elsewhere in cyberspace, that's my advice. |
