I packed up and left one night some time ago... to say the least I was in a bad school with terrible administraion. Here's the thing, I want to come back to another school. This is a much more reputable outfit. I am wondering if anyone has eer done it. I 'washed' my passport but I am worried about the process of getting a visa. Do they still take you prints in Kuwait? Will they know I was there before from them. I am not planning to mention I have ever been in Kuwait. Any and all advice useful.

the 100% safe answer is it's OK if you changed your name and fingerprints not just 'cleaned' your passport
were you on a visit visa or work visa?
was your stay even long enough to be issued an civil ID number and / or work residency number?
was your work residency permit cancelled ?
were you 'blacklisted' by your school (and 'blacklisted' means not only Kuwait but also all GCC countries) ?
how can you quietly find out -
1) you can check your old civil id number on the ministry of interior website
or
2) email the canadian embassy in kuwait
but don't anticipate sympathy because in 'running' you broke the law (in not quitting properly) and the embassy can't make it right

if the school filed a case against you in addition to blacklisting you, you're screwed, blued and tattooed

Talking of doing runners..........a certain school in Salwa, Kuwait , is now without a principal, who failed to return after her Christmas vacation.

Her shawl still hangs over her chair, and her door remains slightly ajar.....but there's nobody there.

PS.15 years...how do you change your finger prints? Have you been watching too much CSI ?

Not BSK by any chance, Miski? BTW, it's nice to see you are alive and well. I thought you had evaporated. One of my pleasant memories of Kuwait is the lovely weather at this time of year.
Regards
SR
