Hello,
In about 24 hrs from now I'll be in Bangkok. I plan to stay for 6-12 months.
I have a TESOL cert + 6 months teaching experience.
My best friend is in Thailand, changmai and is having a good time. (on a long holiday - but plans to start teaching in a few months)
I actually want a break from teaching, a short one, 2-3 months, and want to get involved with volunteer work.
Any suggestions? |

The Duang Prateep Foundation in Bangkok
or the 'Little Hands Art Foundation Project' in the Pang nga province
Both VERY worthwhile and well run |

Check out the Human Development Foundation at www.mercycentre.org. I don't know too much about them except that they work mostly in Klong Toey which is Bangkok's largest slum. I too would be interested to know more if anyone has ever volunteered for them. |
