Going to Japan in the Summer. I wanted to know about the dating there. How are the girls?

Do you find it difficult as a foreigner to date Japanese girls? Where do you find dates?

Any experience/advise would be appreciated. Very Happy

Why is home not "fun and easy"?

Better than home, especially once you've overcome the language barrier.

"Home" is fun and easy. Perhaps you just don't know how to talk to the opposite sex?

I'd be interested in hearing more on this one Andy. Please elaborate!

In my experience travelling, it's always easier to date outside of your 'home' country.

You are the foriegner, the exotic piece of flesh.

Maybe you are rich.

You can't be boring ! You're from somewhere else!

Good question. Some people just need to travel someplace they are considered 'rich' and 'exotic' in order to get laid regularly I guess.

Depends where home is I guess Wink

I voted fun and easy but the easy part of that is all relative. Most of my experience of Japanese women has been while traveling countries other than Japan.

All the best TZ.

I actually found it quite a bit harder than back home (for the first year anyways) Granted, I live in the countryside and most girls here won't date foreigners for this simple reason:

Japanese men in the countryside will usually not date a Japanese girl once she has been with a foreigner. They will almost certainly not marry one. She is no longer Japanese. She will not be a good wife to him anymore, prepare his lunch, wait up for him etc. etc. etc.

Having said that, some Japanese women prefer dating foreigners and do so excusively. My girlfriend tells me her friends always ask her what its like to be with a foreigner and she tells them it's great. So, as you can see, girls are very curious about foreigners.

If you live in a city, it will be easy. If you live in the country, it will not be easy.

That is very interesting! Thanks.

I've lived in Korea for a bit and I've seen the types that hang around foreigners (in the bars, clubs and other hangouts) and those korean girls (not pros) date foreigners exclusively. I've seen this in Toronto too.

Seems like the cities are the best places to date.
