Over the years, I've advocated repeatedly that people look at the Japanese version of JRECIN when looking for jobs, especially if they want to find full-time, permanent university positions. There are three "seasons" to look, including right now (February to early March). I just checked--there are about 15 tenured/tenure-track positions open to foreign applicants running right now.
I've included the link below. The other "seasons" to look are from early May to early June, and from October to early November. If you have at least an MA, at least three academic publications, teaching experience and at least intermediate Japanese ability, take a look.
