Hi everyone

Just borrowing my partners alias until mine is registered.

New to this site, seriously considering leaving UK for Italy, currently a tutor at a college in Oxfordshire, UK teaching nail technology, manicures etc.
Where is a good pace to start looking for this type of work in Italy?

Any advice would be appreciated.

There are a million and one places to get your nails done in Italy. Even the small town where I live has at least three or four salons. Most salons combine manicure and pedicure with waxing, sun beds and so on. Lots also offer "bridal packages" with make up, peeling etc etc. You'll need to speak good Italian to get clients, though. Unless you're going for a particular expat market, in which case your market will be a lot more limited.

Getting work as an actual lecturer is hard enough for English speaking (mother tongue) language teachers, so I couldn't be very optimistic on your behalf if it's vocational lecturing you want to do.

Working as a beautician itself seems to be even worse paid than the UK (based on bar conversations with locals!) with the difficulties highlighted by ET.
