Hi guys,
Sorry if this is a question that has been asked and answered a million times before, but i've got a bit confused by what appears to be conflicting info between here and the UK, Taiwan Embassy.
I've heard on Daves that it is possible to get a job in Taiwan, without the Police Access Check, thats required in Korea etc now. Unfortunatly, i have a minor caution from my uni days, that because of changes now makes a contract extension in Korea an impossibility.
However, http://www.taiwanembassy.org/UK/ct.asp?xItem=17830&ctNode=945&mp=132 says that i must have a Police Check dated within the last 3 months for a residents visa. It looks to me as if thats the only visa that covers longer than a short term single or multiple entry visa.
I am i wrong, i hope so What is the correct type of visa I need if i take on a 12 month contract before i travel out? Do i need a criminal record check after all?
Also, what is the visa process if i fly in on a tourist visa and search for a job once i know the area. Are visas changeable?
Any advice would be great
