I have just finished my TESOL course, and now looking to head to Latin America. I dont have a Degree and am finding this a problem. Is there any recommendations as to how to get going? Is there schools in Costa Rica or Argentina that you just need the TESL certificate? Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks |

Well, I am not certified yet, but I have been doing a lot of research on the subject. It doesn't seem that Latin America in general requires a degree. I think it's mainly places in Asia. Good luck! I'll be joining you as a teacher in Argentina hopefully sometime this year! |

Theoretically you may need a degree for visa purposes. However, if you have the Cambridge CELTA or Trinity College CerTESOL, you may find jobs in Argentina. My first teaching job was in Buenos Aires and I only had the CELTA and no experience then. International House Buenos Aires might be a good start and you may even enter the Argentine TEFL industry after you have taken the Cambridge CELTA at IH Buenos Aires.
Good luck!
