| Hi, I'm a Canadian citizen leaving to teach English in Japan in the next couple of months. My question is, what do you do for taxes? I know I'll have to pay japanese income tax while I'm over there, but is the Canadian government going to expect money themselves when I come back or am I exempt from all that when I'm working out of the country? Probably a question that I should take up with an accountant or something, but I figure a lot of people must have to deal with this same issue. Any help would be great! |
