I had my education certificates attested as original by the Foreign Office in London. Does anyone know how I go about getting them certified by the Ministry here? Thanks. |

Do you know at what office it needs to be attested? If it is at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then I know of two offices. One is in Sharjah (not sure of the address) and one in Dubai in the Union Bank building at the corner of Al Makthoum Rd. (airport road) and Omar Bin Al Khattab Rd. I think it is on the 7th floor.
Hope this helps. If not, sorry! |

'Here' is UAE - Dubai / Sharjah. I do some freelance work and one of the companies I am hoping to work for has asked me to get my certificates attested. The company isn't fussy about which Ministry attests them - Foreign Affairs or Min of Ed. This morning I went of the Min of Foreign Affairs on Sharjah Corniche and they asked me to get them stamped first by the British Council. This seemed strange given that they have been attested by the Foreign Office in London. I have sent two emails to the British Council asking for information and surprise ,surprise they haven't replied. |

A friend had her degree attested by the British Council in Dubai some years ago - not sure how this works but it was accepted. At that time, the BC had an education officer who was very helpful. You might be better to go in person. |
