Does anyone know if any schools in China accept online TEFL certificates?

Yes. In my opinion, a lot of schools don't care that it is online, they just want to see the certificate. Granted, a real TEFL certificate is probably better, but anything will suffice when the school simply wants a certificate.

I recommend the i-to-i TEFL certificate which advertises on this website.

The price has gone up since I did it, but it has helped me get a better job. They are based in the UK. My next employer specifically advertised for a British teacher. Even though I'm from the US, I think that credential helped me land the job.

Typing about online credentials, I met a British lady in Kunming who told me that for about $8,000 USD, non-British people could earn a PGCE from Sunderland University in the UK online.

Based on my understanding, a PGCE will enable you to work at a real International school = $$$!

Good Luck!
