Hi, I'm currently working in S. Korea and am scouring the web to find a program I can take online that will allow me to become licensed in the states when I return. A MA/MEd or just a post-bacc certificate will do, in the fields of ESL or Social Science Education. I've found several programs, but none that allow using my current school as the demonstration school (which I know is possible because a friend of mine is using her school in S. Korea towards her degree). Any suggestions? |

Acornrev, Which schools do you know of that offer an online bachelor of education?
If you do know of any, please share.
If anyone else knows of any, please feel free to inform.
Thanks! |

I've heard that Drexel University has an online bachelor of education program. It will get you certified in the state of Pennsylvania from which you can try to transfer to other states. I don't know any more details about the program, but you can find more info on their web site.
However, for those wishing to teach in Canada, it is very unlikely that one would be able to transfer such a teaching certificate directly into a provincial one due to the rigorous teacher qualification process in each province (ex. supervised practicum hours, Canadian studies coursework, knowledge of provincial curriculum, etc...). |
