last day is friday... and then it's either back to california to save money for the wedding or stay here and try to find something well paid... and fast.

of course all my mexican friends think i should be able to find a well paid job (better paid than what i was getting at the colegio) because i speak spanish and have tech skills... but i find it hard to believe and feel like i don't even know where to start.....

any advice?

All right, you've probably thought of this already, but check out Craigslist. And I don't mean CL Torreon--is that where you are? Check out CL New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, maybe even Shanghai and Tokyo, anywhere where there is some internet-based money going on. There are daily posts of telecommute techie jobs on there. I just scooped up a couple of freelance writing gigs last week.

Watch out for scammers and ask how you'll be paid (PayPal is a good option for for international work). The pay rates are great compared to what you can score in Mexico.

Good luck,
Serena
