I was wondering if anyone knew of any positions that are available for teaching at an adult training center. I know the universities are just about finishing up for the term. I am currently in China looking for a job. Some of these training chain centers are asking for a lot of upfront money which is a little high for me. If some one knows of an opening I will pm you to get more details. Thank you for your time. |

They're asking you for money? For what purpose and how much? |

they are asking for 6 month housing deposit I have been online checking jobs and NDI asking for housing deposits. This is web International in Taizhou saying housing costs 1500 for 6 months up front. So now I am looking elsewhere. Was told by the agent 3 months 1000 for housing costs. |

I had never heard of a language mill asking for any kind of money.
Run, and keep looking! |

Pay them for the opportunity to work? This is typical Chinese thinking. No end to the chutzpah of these people when enriching themselves at the expense of another is an option. As advised, get far away from people like this. There is no reason you should be giving them money up front "for housing."
Adult training centers are mostly privately owned, I would guess. Bad place to start. Suggest that you try a government school with some kind of track record or a training center with current employees who can vouch for the place. Another option would be second or third tier private unis.
To simply work for Chinese bosses with whom you are not well acquainted is an invitation for disaster. |
