Hey,
Sorry for yet another post...I did search for this but couldn't find anything specific to Spain.
Anyway, is there a form of CRB in Spain and do schools ask for it? I have my CRB for UK...does it translate across?!
Cheers!

None at all: most schools here only really care about some sort of qualification, working papers and a pulse! Seriously though, I have never heard of anyone being asked for one in the 7 years I've been teaching here. The only people I know here who have had a Criminal Record check are Americans going through the working papers process.

"Guess I need to get used to less red tape" ...ah ...actually Spain has just as much, if not more red tape than the UK, just in slightly different places (and of course in a fun new language too).
On the plus side, here there isn't the culture of suing and being sued, but on the other hand there is an army of 3 million, often under-employed, civil servants who by necessity justify their jobs by making you jump through hoops while you pay them for the priviledge: always bring a good book along to any government offices.
