Hi Forum,

I'm currently teaching in China and on the summer holiday I would like to volunteer in Indonesia, can anybody point me in the right direction?

Volunteer in what? I know a doctor supplying medical needs to a group of islands: Nias and surroundings. He is working virtually alone and is always looking for volunteers to help out, both short and longer term. A great experience. PM me if you want contact details.

I don't know about that workingnomad. I'm not looking to come and do someone's otherwise paid job. I have been volunteering for 6 years doing all sorts of things that people need, mostly I try to help where they can't afford to pay someone to do the job and so they are in need of some assistance. Volunteering helps everyone and not everything a person does needs a salary tacked on at the end.

I'm looking to do something other than teaching for the summer, I teach all year long.
