yeah, I had a bit of a chuckle myself on that one - I can only imagine how out of control Ks are outside of K - !! Shocked

I think this past year of my life has been almost a complete waste of time in regards to my work in Korea (that's because other aspects have been very good). The frustration just seems infinite, without any light at the end of the tunnel - Vietnam is what I'm looking at and I definitely don't want to do a repeat of a bad experience!!

The Korean school is often looking for teachers. There are reasons.

Teachers are at the school from about 7:30 am to 4 PM

Let's call it, 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

This is a 40 hour week. 160 hours per month.

For $1600 US dollars.

This is $10 dollars an hour.

Seems to be high teacher turnover, also.

yeah look at the BIG picture - the one of Koreans cheating foreign teachers left and right with false promises, deceitful advertising and downright lies and trickery.....

why should it be any different outside K?

this is what we've tried to say so many times but it always falls on deaf ears - Koreans screwing over FTs create a bad rep for Ks everywhere - and the experiences we've had WILL be remembered after we escape, er, leave Evil or Very Mad
