What is the best Spanish language course that I can use at home? I have the Rossetta Stone but am not to impressed with it. Any Ideas. |

I just found this site...it looks like it might be quite useful. It talks about how to study (on your own), and has language specific information.

I struggle with self-study myself, but I have decided that I can no longer live with the embarrassment of not clearly understanding, or speaking Spanish so....I can going to start putting a serious effort into studying.
Heres to hoping! |

find some people to talk to and find some people to chat with online. between those two things, you might achieve a really high level of fluency. i haven't studied except as necessary (the best way to study grammar) and i have yet to read anything serious in spanish (not a goal, just haven't made time yet). but i've talked and chatted with tons of people for hundreds of hours. it was quite a bit more fun than studying, although most teachers tend to be nerdy when it comes to grammar and i'm no exception--i really enjoy it. still, the natural immersion way worked better for me with spanish. |
