I'm only here for a few months and thought that it would be fairly easy to meet up with people, considering this is the capital of poland an' all, but I've been here two weeks and am finding it harder than I thought. Is anyone having the same trouble? Am I looking in the wrong places? There must be something here for expats to do... |

It depends what you like, but a "riotous night out" in the Big Grey all depends on your mood; you have to really really WANT to have a good time in order to do the long trudge between the bars and nightclubs.
Still, aside from drinking and the cinema, Warsaw only has the standard snooker/pool, paintball, go-karting, dry-ski slope, geocaching (www.opencaching.pl) and crawling around inside the myriad abandonned buildings dotted around the centre, god knows what there is in terms of entertainment. |

Simple. Go to 'Casablanca' cafe. I was in the same boat when I first arrived 2 years back, and hanging out in this expat joint kick started my social life. Go in, order a beer and sit at the bar and meet the regulars. |
