hello all,
i currently live in canada and am looking into teaching english in russia next year. i have a degree, but no formal teaching experience.
i've been looking into applying for the language link intern program. other discussions on this forum offer mixed reviews and i would appreciate any feedback from people who have actually taught at this school. my biggest concern reading other posts is the salary, which, it would seem, would not be enough to get by on. any information would be much appreciated.
thanks! |

Whatever you do, do not go to work for language link in Krasnoyarsk. They will shaft you good and proper and expect you to be grateful for it. The boss there makes Ivan the Terrible seem like a moderate. |

My info is a little dated (1998 - 2002) but I worked for Lang Link over 3 years in 3 cities and I never really had any complaints.
My own opinion has always been that Lang Link is generally a good employer for relatively inexperienced teachers or those who are new to the country.
Those of us with more experience might prefer to go elsewhere or operate as independents. |

Pay peanuts and get monkeys-with what they pay nowadays,I doubt if it is enough to even buy peanuts in Moscow! The last place you will learn that is from their recruiting websites! |
