Besides IH, are there any other options available? My google-fu is weak... |

I think there are are only two or three places in Poland that offer CELTA courses. IH in Krakow, I believe and possibly Wroclaw, and Bell in Warsaw are the only ones I know about. You end up with the same piece of paper no matter where you do a CELTA course so it's only a question of where you want to do it.
Why do you want to do it in Poland? Do you want to teach here after CELTA? What country are you from? |

I live in Wroclaw and have been teaching on the side, enjoying the work/money and decided to get some formal training. From the US... |

I can't imagine teaching without doing the CELTA course. You learn so much in an intense four weeks. It's monitored by Cambridge so no matter where you do it you'll have pretty much the same experience. Good luck |

I'm planning on doing a CELTA course but I have heard some people in the forum say that although IH Krakow is fine, it's better in Wroclaw since it's where they have their Polish headquarters. |

I did my CELTA in Warsaw at Bell. It doesn't matter where you do it. You can do it in amy city or country you want and it will give you the same certificate. I chose to do mine in Poland because I wanted to work here and I hoped to make some contacts during my course. As it turned out, I did, but that was happenstance and I could have done the same thing from anywhere in the world.
Where do you want to teach in Poland? That might make a difference in the location you choose to do your CELTA.
Oh, and why Poland? |

Hi Scottie,
Is Steve Brewin still doing the CELTA course at Bell, I'll have to meet up and have a beer with him. Is Phil Welch their also? (Can't miss him 6'8", ex British army) |

Hello Scottie/phantombedwetter (AKA Damian),
To answer your questions, Yes Steve Brewin is still the Main Coures Tutor at Bell in Warsaw and no, I am not there. I left Warsaw around September last year to work at a teacher's college in Bialystok before taking up my current position with Bell. I am at present in Libya working for Bell on a nine month contract. Plan to be back doing CELTA course around January 2009 - most likely somewhere in Asia.
Do get in touch and tell me what you are up to.
Phil

Hi D
Got the pm. Do let me have your e-mail address as for technical reasons it's better if we communicate via e-mail. The servers in Tripoli are notoriously slow and it takes an age to log on to this webpage with all it's colour and pictures.
Cheers |
