I guess the the "King Faisal School" name finally caught up with their efforts to draw in recruits...no matter what you call it, it's still dealing with the same royal pains in the arses! Twisted Evil

MOD edit: It has been confirmed that University Preparatory Program is NOT the same as the King Faisal School. All posts about King Faisal school have been deleted. Please keep to the topic of the title of the thread.

King Faisal School and the King Faisal Foundation's University Preparatory Program are separate programs managed by different organizations.

King Faisal School is an upscale, private Saudi school for primary and secondary students. The University Preparatory Program, on the other hand, is a post-secondary, university preparatory program operated by the King Faisal Foundation in collaboration with Amideast, which is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Never Ceased To Be Amazed is mistaken in thinking that the two organizations are one and the same. The UPP is a fantastic place to work. It has a very responsive and dedicated management team, enthusiastic and capable faculty members and a student body of very eager and hardworking young men. In short, the UPP is, pedagogically speaking, a breath of fresh air in Saudi post-secondary education.

James: If I'm mistaken, then I apologize for the misinformation on the U.P.P. for if it does offer a breath of fresh air, then all the best because most of it (the educational air) is rancid. As far as my reports on the "upscale" K.F.S., and you'll note that that's what I focused on, I stand by my report.

Yes, they are separate programs at separate levels, but are both run by the King Faisal Foundation. However, one does wonder... I bet a lot of the students at the university come from the KFS, so if they are wretched excuses for human beings in school, do they behave better when they become university students?

Anyway, here are some threads on KFS:
