The vast majority of students at the British and American schools in Jeddah are neither British nor American.
What you have heard about the school only accepting British passport holders is false.
There is also an American school in Riyadh that you could check out.
As for what happens to students when they reach Year 12 in the British School and have 1 more year to go, well, they continue for 1 more year. What do you mean what happens?
If your children are going to do their higher education in the US, they could leave after Year 11 (IGCSE), or after Year 12, or Year 13. Typically, if they have finished Year 13, they could shorten their US college degree by upto a year by gaining some credits in lieu of the A-Levels (or IB). But, most US universities will accept students with IGCSE only. Some families do that to save money, as A-Levels/IB are terribly expensive. |
