DOSs at the various EF English First 'schools' (aka fast language outlets) have been BANNED from contributing to this forum! Silenced! The EF cult is still at work!

Good point, Roger. I never thought of it that way. Perhaps Bertrand will post again and clarify his stetement.

Yes, of course, sorry! I had not even seen that my original statement could have been interpreted in any other way than how I meant it (i.e., that EF had placed the ban), but yes, I see now that it could have been read that way.

Two friends of mine have told me that they have been 'advised' by EF head office in Shanghai not to contribute to this forum. They had the riot act read to them in fact. They started to quote their contract (apparently there is a clause about 'fostering a positive working environment and promoting a positive company image' - failure to adhere to which will result in immediate dismissal).
