ahoj. English teachers in Prague earn subsistence wages. Are you going to be living somewhere outside of Prague? Does your girlfriend have a flat somewhere?
If you currently earn 1,600 USD monthly, you will be taking a pay cut. English teachers in Prague earn less, roughly around 1,200. This is not enough to save money, to buy a place to live or a car, or to pay off debts from outside. It IS enough to live ok, assuming that your girlfriend is also working...In Prague, I mean.
If you are thinking of living outside of Prague, your prospects may be a bit better - but overall, teaching English is not going to get you ahead financially. In your place, I would not consider such a move UNLESS your girlfriend or her family also have a free place for you to live, and you think you will be happy in that place. |
