I believe it's the plan, but I wouldn't count 100% on it's happening in entirety or on schedule. Of course, it might - but the best-laid plans....
However, I'm in the same boat as you with my Czech citizenship nearly achieved, and it would make my life a lot simpler as well - so I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next three years |

However, with the avatar you're flashing around - well, hopefully you'll be able to fly under the religious radar long enough to enjoy your freedom in '11! |

Actually the limitations imposed on the 2004 nations are only 5 years long, but can be extended for another 2 years if it's necessary. Now the initial exodus is over I suspect it quite likely that restrictions will be lessened or removed in the next year or two. Even Bulgarian and Romania could see a quicker removal of the restrictions as the predicted flood of immigration hasn't quite become a reality, especially in west and the north. |

Oh, and regarding your subject, there are no restrictions on residency. You can go and live in any EU country for as long as you like, you can retire there, you can live their self-sufficiently, or you can study there. These are your rights as an EU citizen. The limitations only apply to working there, and then there are many exceptions. |

Ever the EU skeptic Spiral...not much has changed in 2 years.
Why do you even worry; you are married to an EUer...? |

I'm not worried - just not planning any big parties until I see that it's really happened. Probably it's just my skeptical nature. I could try to be more optimistic, but then I'd fit less well in the CR
Really, I think it will all happen as planned, short of some unforeseen catastrophe. |

You can have three citizenships? And why doesn't your husband speak any other language? |

No, At the moment I have one. In November I'll have two and when we get through the Romanian red tape, I'll have three. Why should my husband speak another language? We live in Peru. Everyone here speaks Spanish. I have to adapt, not him. |

Yes, but you wish to go elsewhere. To Spain? What can a monoglot Spanish speaker bring to the table? |

I think we'll be here for the moment. If he gets hired by a company and transfered elsewhere we'll go. BUt we have our our house, no mortage, good jobs, can't complain. The Romanian citizenship is more for our kids, than for me. |
