|
|
The Latin America "LA job list" sticky isn't that useful or current.
Just spent an hour on Dave's but didn't find any current lists of schools. Do you know of any lists, without paying subscription?
Now interested in schools to teach ESL in Buenos Aires and especially throughout Argentina. But also good to know schools throughout Latin America. Got any list?
Naturegirl321 used to have one but cannot find it now.
Also using Daves job opening lists, does it sort by country? |

...Buenos Aires there must be 50 or more institutes....
the rest of Argentina, hard to say....it's a big country, almost the size of Western Europe if you look at maps |

Thanks. When I graduated my TEFL college a decade ago, they provided a great list of schools in every city. I have not seen anything that comprehensive since then, and my *$&@%#$^ college no longer exists! So much for "lifelong alumni job placement assistance!"
Still not satisfied: On Dave's Job wantads, keyword Argentina yields only one ad, and keyword buenos aires yields 0 results. (best strategy to get job is to show up in person, IMO)
I don't have time to google the address of every school in BA and Argentina.... Still hoping for a better list.
Should I just fly down then get the local yellow pages phone directory in BA? Will all schools be listed in one category in yellow pages? How about for other cities in Argentina? Is there a public library in BA where I can xerox yellow pages for other AR cities? |

thanks NG, i figured he had already gone that avenue. i went to the www.paginasamarillas.ar site, then "Ver todas las categorias", then "Educacion y Capacitacion", then Idiomas - Cursos de Capacitacin para Empresas.
came up with 29 institutes, etc....so, like i said, there should be 50 or more institutes in B.A. centro. i've got a friend who's living there now.
otherwise, this guy (Matteboy) lived and worked ESL many years in Argentina....go to his website, and write him an email off his blog.
