|
|
Hi All
My husband has had a job offer in Bahrain. We plan on moving in 4 - 6 weeks.
I am a qualified English teacher with 3 years post TEFL experience and was wondering what salary / benefits can I expect in Bahrain
Any help from someone who has Bahrain experience would be much appreciated
Pax. |

You'd be better off posting this on the Bahrain forum. It'd also make a change for something to be posted on there.
I think the problem you may have will be the visa issue - you'll be going under your husband's company sposorship and they may have an issue with you working.
Again - due to visa issues you may only be able to get part-time work, if you're British/Irish - try the British Council, there's also an American place in Juffair that might be able to give you something. As far as wages go - am not sure but around 12BD an hour maybe............ |

Private tuition might be a way around the work permit. I would say contact the BC and see what happens. I think 12 BD might be a bit high. |

Thanks for the info Kaw and Scot
I probably will be going on my husband's sponsorship unless I am able to get a job before we move to Bahrain. I was however wondering, is it not possible to transfer the visa from my husband's to a work visa?
The salary range mentioned is for private tuitions?
What can I expect for a full time job in terms of basic salary, benefits etc.
What is the cost of living like in Bahrain?
Thx |
