I am not at all ashamed of the long-running soap opera I started in the Saudi Arabia forum. Over a couple of years I recounted the self-destruction of DIFA/ARINC as an employer. It was an important thread as it served to warn incoming people of the trouble they were getting themselves into.

But that is drawing to a close. DIFA/ARINC lost the contract and having stiffed us for most of our end-of-service bonus is going away.

The trouble is a new, worse, company low-balled the contract and has cut our pay and looks set for a remarkable next few years. Well worth a thread. But here?

The thing is they have more or less given up on hiring new teachers. Further I am bugging out (as are many of us). I would love to cause trouble by posting on these fools by remote-control. I have people here who would tell me the latest idiocies and I would pass them along.

Is this appropriate in the Saudi Arabia forum? After all, we are down to two teacher slots. On the other hand, it looks like people will need to know the skinny on this employer.

Ought I to start a new thread here, or start my own blog elsewhere? (And if so, any idea as to where?)

Hey Paul... if the place has the same name, wouldn't it make sense to keep it all on the original thread. Talk about providing people with a complete history of an employer. Laughing

If they have a new name, I think you can edit that into your title on the original thread. I guess I just like continuity.

But perhaps it isn't fair to burden a new employer with the baggage of a previous contract holder.

Also, ala ME, you could just sit back, check this board, and jump in whenever someone has a question about this new company and its predecessor. Evil or Very Mad

Just curious, who has the C-130 contract now?

Personally, I would like to hear how this company handles the contract and employees.

I would also be interested in hearing how Pannesma is performing on the old Kollsman contract.

RSAF has to get its act together and contract with competent and reputable companies.

"RSAF has to get its act together and contract with competent and reputable companies."

Why would they want to do that ?

Good question! Answer: Lowest bidder to crawl from underneath a rock!

Personally, I would like to hear how this company handles the contract and employees.

This could still be performed in the manner I mentioned. However, I agree.

I would also be interested in hearing how Pannesma is performing on the old Kollsman contract.

Pannesma...another low-baller. It owned one of the kookiest people that I EVER worked with! And, I don't mean "Ha-Ha" kooky!

RSAF has to get its act together and contract with competent and reputable companies.

Oh, yeah! Ever since Al Salam allowed LMME to take over the AWACS program(me), (thankfully, after I'd had enough of my BAe overlord!), this ENTIRE sector has gone downhill, 'cept for the Al Yamamah program(me) and the Raytheon experience!
