|

Hi All,
After taking some time out to complete my MA I've been sending out my CV to various places. Right now I have a couple of options but just as many worries!
One private company has assured me it will be no problem transferring from my current sponsor which falls under the ministry of education to their company which is private. I searched these threads and found one post saying it can't be done and another saying its not easy but possible. So I went to the ministry of Interior web site and they also said it cant be done!
Anyone who has been here for a while knows that the ministry saying it cant be done doesn't really mean it cant be done lol
Anyway, if there is a way i.e. seeking permission from the ministry then how do you go about doing that and has anyone managed or failed to transfer from government to private before? How long does it take etc
Thanks a lot for any input!

To my best knowledge, you need a letter of no objection to transfer. Nevertheless, if the private company has some kind of wastas, then no worries at all, forget about all rules and regulations. |

Thanks Windstar-That has to be the fastest response I've ever seen!
I can get a letter of no-objection no problem but I thought that was more for applying from back home? From what I have been able to gather transferring government to gov is no problem and private to private is also ok but government to private....that could be a problem. Thanks agian.
Anyone else shed any more light? |

Your information is correct. Government to private, or vice-versa is possible, but special permissions are needed (from the Ministry of the Interior I think). As windstar says, how fast these are processed, and whether you get them at all, depends on the wasta of the people concerned. |
