I'm going to Vietnam this summer and I plan to stay for about a year. What's the deal with finding furnished apartments/furnishing your own apartment? Am I going to have to buy a bed, table, chairs etc.? |

I think most apartments are already furnished - the housing agents are used to expats and I think tend to know what they need. I got an apartment with lots of furniture, beds, sheets, pillows, a shower curtain, even a TV (but no DVD player.)
If you feel you need extra furniture you can always find some cheap, if your capable of avoiding being ripped off. |
