A friend is moving his family from Colombia to Abu Dhabi. His kids now attend the American Community School in Colombia. Naturally, he'd like for his children to transfer within the same system because of the curriculum and teaching methods.
He's found out that there is a wait list. He's added his childrens' name. Is anyone familiar with this school and can you tell me if wait listed students stand an ice cube's chance in Jehanem of getting into the school this fall. |

Depends. There's a pecking order. The original sponsors (read: oil companies) have a straight in, next comes American passport holders (superceded if you already have a brat there) and down from there.
My TCW, see if they can talk to the ACS that they currently attend and see if THEY have any sway on the one in AD. The enterance is SUPER TIGHT and the chances of getting in in the next few years is between "not" and "nil".

Thanks "Never",
I suppose a Colombian passport holder shouldn't hold his breath on this one. Working a little wastaf rom the Bogota end might help, They have interesting approaches to doing business down there, I hear. . .or at least have seen in the movies. |
