As long as you have a valid residence permit in your passport, you can travel and leave the country and come back as often as you wish.
However, when the school says you can't, don't argue. just smile and say something like, " I appreciate how much the school cares for my safety. Anything you can tell me to better enjoy my time here is always appreciated."
AT ALL COSTS ... AVOID TRYING TO REASON WITH THEM!!!!
