Hi, my friend is moving to Paris for an internship and is in need of subletting an apartment for her stay there, she was wondering if any of these addresses were in good areas and if they appeared to be legit, because she is weary of scammers. The addresses are:
10, av. Franklin D. Roosevelt
25, Place Parvis Notre Dame
98 r Damrmont
Please let me know!

You post 3 possible addresses for a single woman living alone in Paris ?
Do you ever think about possible consequences to your actions ? |

Thanks for your concern, but that's incredibly not helpful....Did I say she was single? Did I say these were the correct addresses? I am very aware of my actions and I would appreciate that any further comments be related to the topic at hand. |

Shanny - don't know these exact addresses, but certainly the areas.
10, av. Franklin D. Roosevelt - off the Champs Elyses; probably just fine, albeit expensive.
25, Place Parvis Notre Dame - This comes up as being exactly where Notre Dame is located. maybe it is across the street. If so, also a great area, although clgged with tourists.
98 r Damrmont - in the 18th arr., this is a wrking class neighborhood. It may be advertised as "Montmartre" but it is really a bit of a stretch from there. The Lamarck-Coulaincourt area, which may be the closest metro, is quite nice.
You are right to be wary of scammers as they abound here. If you are using Craig's List be very careful. Better to go through a reputable agency than to send money to an uknown entity.
Quel drag about the previous response, but good for you for stating your feelings about it. C'est la vie! Bonne chance. |

That is sooo helpful, do you know of anymore helpful agencies in Paris? I dealt with ones when I lived in Colmar, Alsace, but they were all different.
Thank you again! |

I don't know any specific agencies to suggest, but if you do a search you'll get lots of results. |
